About Pam Smith
At Large
Pam was born and raised in
Northern Maine by wonderful parents. She is
the youngest of six children and is very close to
her large family.
After two short military
deployments to New York and North Carolina, Pam
moved to New Jersey as a military dependent in
1996. She worked several years as a Veterinary
Technician and then was employed by the Department
of Defense as a Fitness Instructor on Fort Dix. For
the last 17 years, Pam has been a scheduling and
payroll clerk for the New Jersey Department of
Corrections. She is passionate about animals and
currently has two cats. She wishes she could
save them all!
In her walk with the Lord, Pam
has attended Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford,
NJ since 2002. After an unfortunate life incident,
Pam needed to make changes and accepted
Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 2012.
With her life improving, she felt God calling her to
do something more. She began to volunteer with
Feeding 5000 on Saturdays on the streets of
Philadelphia. Once Feeding 5000 started serving
Sundays at Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission, Pam was
able to volunteer more of her time and enjoys every
minute of it. "Helping others in need is not
only serving the Lord, it's very therapeutic for me.
I have met so many great people and have a real
connection with other volunteers. It touches my heart when
I can connect with those who are homeless and
hurting. God has truly blessed me!!"
